Choose this 2.4 inch ILI9341 touch module when you need a color screen plus touch input and storage in one board. It is a big step up from the 1.8 inch ST7735 (BOTBIT-DSP-08) but still budget-friendly. If you want an all-in-one board with the microcontroller already integrated, consider the CYD ESP32 board (BOTBIT-DSP-12) instead.

Pair it with an ESP32 for the smoothest performance and WiFi connectivity, or an Arduino MEGA if you prefer 5V AVR. The touch panel needs its own library (XPT2046_Touchscreen or the touch functions in TFT_eSPI) and a calibration step for accurate taps.

Because display, touch and SD all use SPI, plan your CS pins carefully. On ESP32, TFT_eSPI's User_Setup lets you assign each chip-select cleanly. Keep in mind resistive touch needs firm single-point presses and works well with the included stylus-style pointer or a fingernail.

Will this SPI module work on an Arduino UNO?

Yes, the SPI version works on UNO, but the UNO's limited RAM and 5V logic mean slower refresh and the need for care with 3.3V signals. For fast, smooth graphics and touch, an ESP32 or MEGA is a better match.

Do the display and touch use the same library?

The display uses TFT_eSPI or Adafruit ILI9341, while the resistive touch uses a separate driver such as XPT2046_Touchscreen. TFT_eSPI can also handle the XPT2046 touch, letting you manage both from one library on ESP boards.

Is the touch capacitive or resistive?

It is a resistive touch panel. It responds to pressure from a fingertip, fingernail or stylus and needs a one-time calibration in software for accurate coordinates. Resistive touch registers a single point at a time.

Can I read images and log data to the microSD slot?

Yes. The onboard microSD (TF) slot shares the SPI bus with the display. You can load BMP images to show on screen and write CSV or text logs using the standard SD library, assigning the SD its own chip-select pin.
