Overview

About Skywalker X2 Mini FPV Flying Wing (PNP).

The Skywalker X2 Mini FPV is a compact 950mm EPO flying wing supplied in Plug-and-Play (PNP) form, meaning the airframe arrives with the brushless power system, ESC and control servos already installed. You add your own radio receiver, flight battery and FPV gear, then fly. The pusher-propeller layout keeps the prop behind the wing for safer hand launches and belly landings, while the high-density EPO foam shrugs off the bumps that come with learning long-range and FPV flying.

As a flying wing it has no separate tail, so it is light, fast and efficient and packs a long roll of momentum for cruising. The roomy centre bay has dedicated slots for the flight battery, an FPV camera and a video transmitter, and the winglets quick-release for transport. With a 2216-class motor on 3S or 4S it is lively enough for sport flying yet stable enough to carry a small autopilot and GPS for fixed-wing experimentation.

This kit suits FPV hobbyists, students and drone builders in India who want an affordable, durable wing to learn fixed-wing FPV, long-range cruising and basic autonomous waypoint flying. Because the heavy lifting of motor and servo installation is done, it is a quicker path to the air than a bare kit, and the EPO airframe is easy to repair with foam-safe glue.

Buying guide

How to choose.

Choose the PNP version if you already own a compatible transmitter and want to fly sooner, since the motor, ESC and servos are pre-fitted. You still need a matching receiver, a 3S or 4S LiPo in the 2200-3300mAh range, a LiPo charger and your FPV camera and video transmitter. Budget for these add-ons when comparing the X2 against ready-to-fly bundles.

For pure sport flying a 3S pack keeps weight and speed sensible; step up to 4S for more punch and steeper climbs, accepting shorter endurance. If you intend to add an autopilot and GPS for autonomous experiments, keep the all-up weight toward the lower end of the range to preserve handling and glide.

As a beginner-friendly FPV wing rather than a survey aircraft, the X2 Mini is best seen as a learning and sport platform. If your goal is aerial mapping or long-endurance survey work, consider a larger dedicated mapping wing instead and keep the X2 for skills practice and FPV fun.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is the Skywalker X2 Mini ready to fly out of the box?

No. It is a PNP (Plug-and-Play) airframe with the motor, ESC and servos already installed. You must add your own compatible receiver, a flight battery, a charger and FPV equipment before it can fly. A transmitter is not included.

What battery does the X2 Mini use?

A 3S (11.1V) or 4S (14.8V) LiPo with roughly 2200-3300mAh is typically used. A 3S pack gives gentler, longer flights, while 4S adds power and climb at the cost of some endurance. The battery is not supplied with the kit.

Can I fit an FPV camera and autopilot?

Yes. The centre bay has dedicated slots for an FPV camera and video transmitter, and the airframe can carry a small flight controller and GPS for autonomous experiments. Keep the total weight near the lower end of the rated range for the best handling.

What material is the airframe and is it repairable?

The X2 Mini uses high-density EPO foam, which is both light and impact-resistant. Minor cracks and dents from hard landings can be repaired with foam-safe CA glue or hot glue, making it a forgiving choice for learning fixed-wing FPV.

Is it suitable for aerial mapping or survey work?

It can carry small cameras and autopilots, but at 950mm it is primarily a sport and FPV learning wing rather than a survey platform. For serious mapping with longer endurance and larger payloads, a bigger dedicated mapping wing is a better fit.

How is it launched and landed?

The flying wing is hand-launched and recovered with a belly landing on grass or open ground. The pusher propeller sits behind the wing, which helps protect the prop during both launch and landing.
