Overview

About SpeedyBee F405 V4 FC + 60A 4-in-1 ESC Stack.

The SpeedyBee F405 V4 stack pairs an F4-class flight controller with a 60A BLHeli_S 4-in-1 ESC on the 30.5 mm standard, giving FPV builders a complete, well-integrated power-and-control core for 5-inch and larger freestyle and racing quads. The FC uses a 168 MHz STM32F405 MCU with an ICM42688P gyro for clean, responsive control loops.

It is loaded with practical features: an AT7456E Betaflight OSD overlays flight data on analogue video, a MicroSD slot records Blackbox logs for tuning, six UARTs handle receivers, VTX, GPS and telemetry, and on-board Bluetooth allows wireless configuration through the SpeedyBee app. Dual BEC rails supply 5V and 9V for accessories and digital VTX, and the FC supports DJI digital video. The matched 60A 4-in-1 ESC runs BLHeli_S (J-H-40) firmware with DShot300/600, an aluminium heatsink, TVS diode protection and an external 1000uF low-ESR capacitor for stable, clean power.

This stack is aimed at FPV pilots who want a value-packed, plug-and-play assembly with strong power handling. The matched 30.5 mm boards reduce wiring and compatibility headaches, making it a popular choice for both new and experienced builders running Betaflight or iNAV.

Buying guide

How to choose.

Choose the SpeedyBee F405 V4 60A stack when you want a complete, value-focused FC+ESC core for 5-inch FPV builds without matching boards yourself. The matched 30.5 mm stack simplifies assembly, and the 60A BLHeli_S ESC has plenty of margin for typical 5-inch motors on 4S-6S.

Confirm your battery is within the 3S-6S range and that your motor current draw stays comfortably under the ESC's 60A continuous rating per channel. The ESC runs BLHeli_S (not BLHeli_32/AM32), which is reliable and well-supported but offers fewer advanced ESC features than 32-bit firmware - fine for most freestyle and racing, but worth noting if you want RPM filtering nuances of higher-end firmware.

For Indian builders this stack is a strong all-rounder thanks to its Bluetooth setup, DJI compatibility and ICM42688P gyro. If you need an H7 processor or higher continuous current for very powerful 6-7 inch or X-class builds, consider an H7 FC or a higher-amp BLHeli_32/AM32 stack instead.

FAQ

Common questions.

What is included in the SpeedyBee F405 V4 60A stack?

The stack includes the SpeedyBee F405 V4 flight controller and a matched 60A BLHeli_S 4-in-1 ESC, both on the 30.5 mm pattern, plus connecting cables and mounting hardware. Together they form a complete FC+ESC core; you add your own motors, receiver, VTX and frame.

What ESC firmware does the 60A ESC run?

The 4-in-1 ESC runs BLHeli_S (J-H-40 target) and supports DShot300 and DShot600 protocols. It is reliable and widely supported in Betaflight, though it offers fewer advanced features than 32-bit BLHeli_32 or AM32 firmware found on higher-end ESCs.

What battery voltages and current can it handle?

The flight controller and ESC accept a 3S to 6S LiPo input. The ESC is rated for 60A continuous per channel with an 80A burst for up to 10 seconds, giving ample headroom for typical 5-inch freestyle and racing motors on 4S to 6S packs.

Does it support DJI digital FPV and Bluetooth setup?

Yes. The F405 V4 FC supports DJI digital video systems via two connection methods and includes on-board Bluetooth for wireless configuration through the SpeedyBee mobile app, letting you adjust settings and tune in the field without connecting to a computer.

Does it work with Betaflight and iNAV?

Yes. The SpeedyBee F405 V4 runs both Betaflight for racing and freestyle and iNAV for GPS-assisted navigation. You select the matching target firmware in the configurator and flash over USB-C, with six UARTs available for receiver, VTX, GPS and telemetry.

What gyro does it use and why does it matter?

It uses an ICM42688P gyro, a modern, low-noise sensor that supports high sample rates and clean filtering. This helps deliver smooth, locked-in flight and makes tuning easier, which is one reason this stack is popular for both new and experienced FPV pilots.
